I have started taking Sara on very short (1 to 1.5 mile) walks in our neighborhood and the greenbelt in my parents’ subdivision. I try to do it every weekday, but I don’t have a perfect record (for instance, I’ve slacked this week.) The plan is to also get a longer walk in with Justin on the weekends, but so far our weekends have been quite busy with visitors, , errands, etc. Added Later… Here…"Random Musings of a New Mom"
Needless to say I haven’t had much time to hop on the computer for any reason, much less to do blog updates or edit/share photos and videos. Sara is doing awesome and still amazing us with near daily changes. She’s started fitting into some of her clothing a lot better, which means she’s gained another inch or so in length (and her legs actually stay in the legs of her footed onesies now!) She has not only met but exceeded her birth weight (6 lb 6.5 oz.); as of yesterday, Sara weighs in at 6 lb. 12 oz. on a medically calibrated scale, which…"Our 2-Week Checkups"
It’s 1:35 AM and our Sprout is sleeping soundly in her bassinet by the bedside. She’s been cluster feeding since 9:30 PM or so; I just finished her and giving her a supplement of formula. I’ve been giving the breast pump Mom bought me for Christmas a workout, but haven’t yet properly timed my pumping to yield a stockpile of momma’s milk that we can use for the bottle-feedings. We’re supplementing with formula on the…"Mama-hood & MacBook"
Just a couple Sara videos to share: (No sound) All three of us got better sleep last night — Justin and I did so because we are learning there is total truth to the “sleep when baby sleeps” advice; Sara slept better because we dressed her in something warmer than just a short-sleeved onesie last night (Thank you, Mom, for the baby clothing blitz so Sara has some footed “warmies” and extra newborn onesies!) Sara…"Sara"
